Paid survey scams and what's reallt the truth about on line paid surveys will shock and surprise you atthe same time
A very aggressively promoted scam is the "paid surveys" business. You probably have come across their claims that state that you can "Earn $100 per hour filling out simple surveys". The way the scam works is that 'suspects' are asked to pay a fee of $35 to $50 dollars in order to gain full access to a so-called private list of companies that offer paid surveys for part or full time work.
The surveying companies don't actually charge anyone for taking their surveys, but instead, they pay participants who complete the surveys subject to stated requirements like age, demographic information, your gender etc.
A lot of the paid survey offers do not deliver on the rewards promised. There are a number of ways that paid surveys continue to mislead and inconvenience people who take part. Many of them pull together personal information about you the participant and sell that information to marketing firms.
Once people have paid the fee, they discover that many of the surveys listed do not pay, and that nearly all of the listings are available elsewhere for free. Survey databases can cost participants money. Many databases let people have access to lists of paid survey opportunities for a subscription fee.
Many of these offers seem legal because they feature fake testimonials from allegedly 'satisfied' users.
A few lucky people will be fortunate to make some ongoing money, but it will never really be much at all, possibly a few hundred dollars a month at best!
